Looking forward, Adam indicated plans to launch a second phase of eSports development from 2025 to 2030, despite concerns over Malaysia’s current standings in Mobile Legends. He emphasized the necessity of these initiatives for Malaysia to even qualify for such competitions.

During the MLBB Esports Malaysia 2024 event, he advocated for increased government funding and support for eSports, given its potential for international success, suggesting a shift from mainstream sports.

The event also marked the announcement of the 2024 roadmap for MLBB in Malaysia, setting the stage for a new era of mobile esports. The MPL Malaysia will now call the Stadium MBSJ in Serdang Jaya its home for Seasons 13 and 14, which can accommodate up to 1,000 spectators. Furthermore, the Season 14 Playoffs will be held in Johor in collaboration with Kumpulan Prasarana Rakyat Johor Sdn Bhd (KPRJ), marking the first time MPL Malaysia steps outside the Klang Valley.

This season introduces higher stakes, with the champion securing a spot at the MLBB Mid Season Cup in Riyadh and a shot at a record-breaking USD 3 million prize pool. Hotlink, ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG), and Nescafe continue as official sponsors for the upcoming seasons, reinforcing the growing support for eSports in Malaysia.
